Hello
I am facing problem in preparing ferrite-wax composites as the quantity of powder is very less (< 300 mg). If I melt the wax and mix ferrite using magnetic stirrer then ferrite stuck with a magnetic needle.
Can anybody suggest how to prepare composites using such a small amount of ferrite powder?
How to take SEM images of such composites?

You can try warm ferrite-wax mixture and than to sonicate it before it transform to a solid state. Usually, there is no problem to take SEM micrographs, but you can be carefull with strong field i magnetic lenses. Please, see my articles attached.

Sonication gives better result of mixing instead of stirring on magnetic stirrer.
u can dissolve wax in acetone rather than melting and thenafter u can mix ferrite powder simply with a glass rod. after some time, acetone will be evaporated and the mixture will get solidified.
Last recommendation deserves attention, but does not account for the fact that the density of ferrite is 4-6 times higher than the density of the polymers, so the ferrite will precipitate to the bottom. Therefore, in this case, the additional impact of ultrasound (sonication) will be necessary as the best decision.
