In cosmetic preparations in particular skin care products Fat-Oil soluble specific proteins are required, but how can this be dissolved? Which agents are to be used and what is its safety?
If those fat soluble proteins (FSP) are from some specific vegetable oil like oilve oil, the source oil can be used as such in the form of an ingredient (in fact there are creams with olive oil, almond oil etc). If the FSP/lipoproteins has to be isolated from specific oil of your interest, you have to precipitate it from petroleum ether soluble portion of the oil, using water saturated n-butanol. The precipitate thus obtained will have protein as well as carbohydrates, the lipoproteins have to be further separated using starch gel gel electrophoresis.
Agree to Sunil Kumar. Lipoprotiens are the fractions of Oily parts of herbs which can be dissolve in minimum quantity of vegetable oil and Emulsifying agent like "Twin 20" should be add approximately equal volume of oil phase and solution should be warm up to 60 to 70 degree centigrade so that homogeneous mixture will form . Quantity of emulsifying agent may vary and it should be fix by some trials. Final solution is ready for further use in cosmetic preparation. Propylene Glycol is also alternative choice and both products are safe to use in cosmetic skincare preparations in our country.
Please note that for all cosmetic/ skin care preparations, specific protein are not must. If one would like to use to enhance its additional value can use it. Skin care products are just emulsion (oil-in-water or.water-in-oil). For said purpose, one has to use any of the emulsifiers e.g. Glyceryl mono stearate or any one depending on the type of emulsion.
I appreciate suggestions of Mr..Sunil kumar ,Dr. Ajay and Dr.Mrs MR Rathod.
I am talking about Oil soluble Potiens -it is not an emulsion ,it is clear oil containing high amount of proteins (estimated by nitrogen estimation and converted to Proteins by multiplication factor (there is no added nitrogen)
Samples have been analysed by different analytical labs .
Few samples have also been analysed their amino acid profiling ( in NCL)
This a natural method and can be used for any type of Proteins.
