The problem's objective is to estimate the current flowing through a transformer. In the ekf block, when I add my jacobian files , the values are reaching infinity and when i switch jacobian selector off and let the computer compute the jacobian numerically, the ekf block is just tracing the measurements that are being fed to it. What might be the problem. any solution??? Will doing it in matlab be more comfortable than simulink
I suggest reading the book " Fundamentals of Kalman Filtering - A Practical Approach". It contains practical examples with lots of useful discussion.

Matlab M-file is better than simulink I think.

You have to be careful while giving Co variance matrix and initial conditions.
Please check Jacobian matrix parameters again.
