I need to know how a structures can be designed to absorb carbon dioxide without compromising its durability and serviceability criteria. Also it should not cause corrosion of reinforcements. Please suggest a economical and beneficial design.
If you are not limited to solid absorbents, you can use some ionic liquids that significantly absorb carbon dioxide, for example the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIM-BF4).
