Often academic evaluation is based on a number of publications and citations only. Most educational research seems to be irrelevant and to have no impact on schools and is ignored by policy makers. What do you think about?
Antonio - educational research is not irrelevant in my mind. It should be measured and valued in the same manner as all other research. Good quality educational research is often highly cited and valued by institution - and policy-makers have to take into account all research findings related to social priorities - education being one of them.
QUALITY SHOULD NOT BE COMPERMISED WITH VOLUME OR QUANTITY. THE PUBLICATIONS MAY BE FROM ANY PART OF THE GLOBE BUT MUST HAVE REASONABLE QUALTY.
