It is well established that "Error=Exact value -Approx. value", but in most published papers even in prestigious journals by some respected authors, the difference between the results of numerical methods and approx. analytical methods (such as DTM, ADM, HPM, HAM, VIM, VPM etc) is called error. Why ?

Hi, this is because numerical methods give the exact solution up to a given known error (e.g. 1.0e-7) while analytical methods are approximate methods.

Hi, As Richard said, numerical methods gives the solution on discrete points and the solution is approximate not exact, see:
