Besides of accuracy, there also exist the criterions of computational efficiency and universality. Sometimes versatility, convenience and elaboration of method mean more, than precision. As far as I remember, AEM also possess several additional restrictions being implemented in real applications.
My knowledge of FA method is very limited but I am not sure if one can say a-priori that the accuracy is higher than any FDM/FEM. I know that the key of FAM is in the introduction of the power series, thus we should focus on the properties of this latter.
However I wonder what can FAM do in general problems where the local solution cannot be determined.
I am curious about the answers from experts in this method.
