Yes, this has happened to me before in various instances. There is really not much one can do about it except report it and hope they get back to you. The majority of the time it is caused by glitches and not caused by permanent problems.

Hello, the error is usually due to hardware that is not compatible or sufficient (see minimum required hardware for the installed version) or a faulty installation. Sometimes, reinstalling the missing components may solve the problem. But when it is a hardware defect, the use of another pc is necessary.

Have you installed any software that may affect the Arcmap functioning ?
