Dear Rabi Shrestha they the whole thing about entrepreneurship is change. The entrepreneur or even intrapreneurs (Intrapreneur) succeeds in changing the direction of something, devises new approaches, and creates new businesses and markets. Dictionary – Entrepreneur profile test
A true Entrepreneur will be a catalyst for economic change. However, the problem is that nowadays everyone claims to be an entrepreneur and the term is becoming saturated, misused and contaminated.
Entrepreneurs are a very important agent of change in the current economy, as they dynamize it, and generate benefits for society, innovating, improving services or products, reaching more people with this benefit, generating jobs and paying taxes that the state requires for its operation.
Rabi Shrestha thank you for those words. Also I think that Sachin points out is that there is confusion in these trends, that one might think self employees are the same as being an entrepreneur. That is from my point of view not the same. Might have research coming up on that, I together with my colleagues in the Lab are trying to figure it out. The differences between entrepreneurship vs just running a self-owned business
There is a flawed in your question that I can see though, the challenge starts from coming up with "great" idea to begin with, majority of the ideas come from the personal frustration or what if, rather than an extensive discovery whether it is a 'great" idea after all,
Then as you have rightly mentioned commercialization would come from the general understanding of the product/service design, financing where to get it and how to market it and only at that point of time there could be a potential situation for becoming an entrepreneur when all of the sides of the structure are well enough understood and actioned !
Happy to discuss this further but this is the general view from personal experiences as being on both sides of the situation
The problem is not the ideas, the problem is to find the problems and let them lead to a solution(idea) that one can sell and make money on. feel free to watch Stefan Lindström:: What's so special about entrepreneurs? | TED Talk
What an incredible and fruitful this discussion turn out to be. Much thanks and regards towards Stefan Lindstrom , Rubén Corvalán , Adam Sulich , Sachin Suknunan . And thank you Firuz Alimov for your different insights. I've not thought that way. Your POV was different which i appreciate. Also, thank you Stefan Lindstrom for TEDX video recommendation, i enjoyed it.
They will contribute to absorbing unemployement, create new business initiatives, and create future best practices to create and lift up social welfare for many people around the globe.
I'm sorry Gagan Gandara if we are looking from the pure business perspective none of your novel ideas will happen for several reasons that I have mentioned above, which is coming up with the great idea first and then commercializing it, then we are facing a number fundamental issues
1. unemployment in itself occurs for various reasons from unskilled or over skilled reasons
2. the entrepreneurship have not really thought of uplifting the local unemployment neither employing those that are within the vicinity of the business
3. there is a huge difference between buy and sell experience vs creating a value
this is just the basics of what's happening today or in history, although the motives may be noble in reality egoistic nature will prevail,
Rabi Shrestha, thank you for mentioning me, I have a fortunate experience as both the practitioner and academic, I have been involved with the businesses for the last 20 years and the biggest issue that I can see is the disbalance between the knowledge gained through the research and what the implementation processes that are made on the daily basis
Rabi Shrestha Thank you and for your politeness and for re-answering your responders to your Question. Glad that you liked my TEDx video. I was thinking it brought up a few of these questions of topics, so easier to watch than if I should write it all here. All the best
That's right. Innovativeness and entrepreneurship are important factors in economic development. Therefore, the improvement of systemic instruments for activating innovation and entrepreneurship as well as the creation of facilities and public aid contribute to the emergence of new innovative startups. This issue is particularly important in periods of economic downturn, i.e. in periods of economic crises and periodic decline in economic activity, a decline in economic growth as part of the implementation of anti-cyclical socio-economic policy. This issue was particularly important during the anti-crisis, interventionist socio-economic policy applied during the economic crisis caused in 2020 by the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic. As part of the anti-crisis, interventionist socio-economic policy applied in 2020, entrepreneurship was activated in order to limit the scale of economic growth and halt the development of the economic recession. As part of the anti-crisis, interventionist socio-economic policy, selected interventionist instruments of fiscal, budgetary, sectoral and social policies as well as the monetary policy conducted by central banking were used at that time. As part of the public financial aid applied, a large amount of additional anti-crisis money was introduced into the economy. The financial public aid consisted mainly in subsidies to the salaries of employees as part of their employment. In addition, commercial companies and enterprises received financial public aid in the form of non-returnable targeted subsidies, deferred payment of contributions to the social security system, reduction of certain taxes, granting loans on preferential terms, etc. Thanks to this, it was possible to significantly reduce the scale of unemployment growth in 2020 and reduce the scale of the development of the economic crisis. On the other hand, a negative side effect is a large increase in inflation from mid-2021. However, thanks to the public aid applied under the anti-crisis, interventionist socio-economic policy, it was also possible to significantly limit the decline in the level of entrepreneurship and innovation during the economic downturn in 2020. I mentioned these issues in the article (IMPACT OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC (COVID-19) ON FINANCIAL MARKETS AND THE ECONOMY) posted at the end of 2021 on my profile of this Research Gate portal. I invite you to research cooperation in the field of this issue concerning the important topic of activating entrepreneurship in periods of economic downturn.
