First of all, review or meta-analysis studies generally cannot be selected as the topic for a Master's Thesis because such studies lack originality. Meta-analysis can be included as a submission work or as a foundational study for a thesis.
Secondly, PTSD research is difficult because it is hard to gather sample data from participants.
Thirdly, research on how emotions (including positive and negative ones) affect mental health issues like anxiety or depression, as well as studies on emotion regulation through experimental intervention methods, can be combined into a thesis topic. It should be noted that, based on SOR theory, the stressor (predictive variable) must be identified; if conducting intervention research, positive intervention strategies (such as resilience and positive psychological capital) should be included.
Fourth, the number of references you have read is too low. If you perform a meta-analysis of the literature from the past ten years, this is not nearly enough. Also, the criteria for including and excluding studies in a meta-analysis are rigorous. If you are not doing a meta-analysis but simply introducing original research, these references should be the most recent from the past 3 to 5 years.
Regarding meta-analysis methods, can the analysis be conducted using the R software for structural equation modeling? For example, M-plus is generally used based on the theoretical framework for path analysis among several variables.
