I want to check effects of 10 personality patterns and 6 parenting styles on oppositional defiant behavior, anxiety and depression, which are ideal statistical analysis???
I think you need to be a bit clear as to what you mean by 'effect' here. Do you want to see if there's any association? Are you interested in establishing a causal connection? Or do you simply want to see if there's any correlation? If you could describe this a bit, and also tell us about the explanatory and outcome variables you have and their types (categorical, numeric), people would be in a better position to guide you.
Hi. the parenting styles as far as i know are four not six. you need to do correlations to test the null hypotheses. simple T-test and ANOVA are acceptable. if you are using ranks of variables or no-numerical independent variables, you may use Chi- Square or Kruskal - Wallis and Mann Whitney analysis.
