What could be the reason for this distortion and the unsymmetrical nature of the waveform measured on the filter capacitor of LCL filter of grid connected inverter? The voltage at the inverter output is normal. DC input was set at 1.08 pu. Could the problem be from the control as well or limited DC input?
It would be hepful if you could show us the circuit diagram - otherwise, it is a problem to answer.

The LCL filters are specially designed to reduce harmonics of current absorbed by power converters, with a rectifier input stage. Mainly, they are made of a parallel-series combination of reactors and capacitors adapted to reduce the THD(I) of rectifiers.
