doping concentration of a material cause to retard the phase formation of Alumina, will it also disturbe the TL response ??? doping concentration of rare earth either kept high or low for good TL response???
For any material, varying dopant concentration can affect the TL and OSL signals. First of all, the ionic radii of the dopant and the host material must be similar. If the ionic radius of the host material is less than the dopant radius, high concentration doping may lead to the formation of different phases in the structure. This can lead to a decrease in luminescence. On the other hand, changing crystal field energy will cause disturbances in the structure, so the ionic states of the selected dopants will gain importance. The difference in ion valence between host and dopants will be the determining factor in the behavior of dopants as hole trap or electron trap in the structure. However, when all these situations are considered, their effect on TL or OSL signals can be investigated. You can find many of my works on my profile related to the mentioned subject. Good luck.
