Dear Hana Donéeová This (Editora Artemis) is a relatively new player in the (book)publishing world, but my first impression is just fine. I found a nice example here on RG (from somebody working with this publisher): Book Estudos de Gênero: Mudanças e Permanências nas Relações de Poder

They have a genuine physical address in their contact info which is a good sign as well (https://editoraartemis.com.br/contato ).

The only thing is: make sure there is transparency about the costs upfront (I think it is for free but make sure this is indeed the case).

From what I’ve heard and read, the Spanish Academic Editorial is predatory.

Dear Juan Rafael Gómez Torres I missed this one (focused my previous reply on the first publisher Editora Artemis) but for sure the publisher “Editorial Académica Española” is a predatory one. Main reason:

-They are part of the “OmniScriptum S.R.L.” imperium (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OmniScriptum ) as indicated in their contact info here https://www.eae-publishing.com/?locale=gb (scroll down)

-Look for the similarities here https://lap-publishing.com “Lambert Academic Publishing” which is also a brand of OmniScriptum S.R.L.

-All these names are mentioned in the Vanity Press version of the Beall’s list (https://beallslist.net/vanity-press/), just type Omniscriptum

I just got another email request from the Brasilian Editora Artemis, with a deadline for 1. Nov 2024 (today is 29.Oct 2024) for an ebook on 'Health Sciences: Research and Practise' to be published in November 2024. They want my "article" “The Anthropocene – from Earth System Analysis and Sedimentology to Futures Literacy” to publish there . This "article" is just a short abstract of a talk which I gave last year at a conference in Portugal (it's still at the conference webpage). This: a) I do not have a full article on that, b) the topic has nothing to do with their ebook-title, c) the deadline in 3 days really is a joke, and d) "very helpful" is that the fee could be paid by Paypal. So let's better forget this "Editora Artemis"

Thank you for your valuable comments. I finally found good references about Editor Artemis and I have also published under their publishing house. Although they send the call later, they are very lenient about deadlines.
