I am using a Tescan microscope for EBSD analysis, the software installed on it is Aztec. I want to save the kikuchi patterns as Jpeg files instead of the .ebsp that the software defaults to.
Dos anyone have an idea how to do this as I want to analyse the images in openXY afterwards for GND.
Any advice would be gratefully accepted
Dear Neal Parkes , from the Aztec software user manual they say:
Map data export formats
EDS X-raymaps and linescans and allEBSDmaps can now be exported in .CSV and .TSVformats
May be you can transform your files to these formats and from them to jpeg.

Hi Neal, I don't think the way suggested by Manuel is going to work, unfortunately, as this will only export the information stored in the EBSD / EDS maps and not the patterns themselves. Your best bet is to select the relevant map data that has the stored patterns associated with it, and then use the AZtec file menu and choose "Export to Channel5 project". This gives you the possibility of exporting all the EBSPs as individual TIFF files. Note that these will be exported into a single Windows folder and so, if there are many 10s of thousands of patterns, it will take time and could cause windows file handling issues.
