I am currently searching studies for an upcoming meta-analysis I am planning to conduct. I started with the EBSCOhost surface (inlcuding PsycInfo, PsycArticles And Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection). The results comprise of more than 3,000 hits. Unfortunately I cannot save all the results, since the website crashes after a wile telling me "no results found" when I continue to the subsequent page. I was wondering if anyone else experienced a similar problem with EBSCOhost?

Maybe it is difficulties with access permission. I suggest you to limit your search to two databases MEDLINE and EMBASE. You can reach MEDLINE free with PubMed interface which also included PMC database. EMBASE also needs access permission, you can camouflage it by adding SCOPUS if you have access and WEB OF KNOWLEDGE. These are databases which you can use search strategy. In case you don't have access to any I suggest hard way of using google scholar and hand searching.

Yes, I have encountered this before. I suggest you try 2 things.
1) create an account and create your search within the account not on the main search page. This will allow you to edit and save it before running the actual search and it won't crash.
2) try using Ebsco after normal business hours, especially for medline. I am most successful running my searches at night when there are not as many users.

Thank you both so much for your reply and advice. Ebsco has been one of the more user-friendly alternatives for meta-analyses' purposes, but I guess it's time to broaden the horizon. Nevertheless I will try off-business hours when I use it.
