The adoption and usage of e-textbooks has increased significantly in recent years. While some studies have shown them equally as effective as printed books at promoting student learning and achievement, and a few others have found that they promote higher affective and psychomotor learning, most students, and some studies have found that students tend to multi-task and be more distracted when interacting with e-books thus leading to less information retention . I am interested in research and experiences that others may have with e-books, especially with first generation and underserved learners.

And, what types of e-books are people using. What formats are being adopted and what, if any, interactive features are faculty seeking. What have been the outcomes?
