Goals of care conversations are very important and can define the course of patients and their loved ones life. Especially in critically ill /terminally ill patients I frequently use the terms " looks like in spite of providing the best care available to mankind your loved one is not responding to the treatment and looks like almighty/ GOD might have different plans here but still we will try and do our best and see what GOD has for us "

With this I have seen that majority of the families have a different approach towards the critical illness (better understanding ), respect the health care workers more. Also in majority of cases I am able to achieve goals of care.

Do you have any different phrases which are better or approach ?

please share.
