We know that the Kondo effect is a resistivity minimum phenomena which results from the magnetic impurity. If we measure both the longitudinal and transverse magnetoresistance then what should happen? Will the Kondo effect be equally suppressed by magnetic field in any direction?

In the paper of Yoji Koike et al. [1], the authors have said that as the Kondo effect results from the electron spin of the magnetic impurities the increase in resistivity in a Kondo-like system is equally suppressed by the magnetic field in any directions. And they have showed that the increase in resistivity is most suppressed for transverse case than the longitudinal case and as, the transverse magnetoresistance and 2D Anderson localization both are strongly related to orbital motion of the electrons where as the longitudinal magnetoresistance is not so sensitive to the orbital motion, they have concluded that the increase in the resistivity at low temperature in TiTe2, a layered system (quasi-2D), is not due to Kondo effect but due to Anderson localization.
Actually I was confused and thinking that, whether, this kind of conclusion is true in general or it depends on specific symmetry of the systems. :)
