Magnetic field can effect thermal transport. And magnetostriction is a mechanical behaviour if your material is magnetostrictive.

The short answer is yes. Consider e.g. the magnetocaloric effect [1,2].

In diamagnetic material we can not expect any significant mechanical or thermal effect of magnetic field (less then 40 Tesla)
