In the literature review, I compile results showing changes in forest net primary productivity (NPP) under increased atmospheric CO₂ concentration. Calculating the statistics, I obtained a result above 20% (specifically, 22.0 ± 1.0%). At the same time, there is no variation in results between Europe and North America, and while differences between deciduous and coniferous species exist, they are beyond the significance threshold of 0.05. Is such a change in NPP a realistic value? In the studies, the CO₂ concentration increase was approximately 200 ppm.

In the plot, ln(NPP_CO₂_elevated / NPP_CO₂_ambient) is shown for each publication.
