QM was developped to answer the issue of electrons spiralling out of atoms and being extremely short lived according to Maxwell equations.
Thus, its maunly a theory of compatibility of atom with EM waves, which means that other aspects of the system like gravity, thermal, Lorentzian Mechanics etc were simply rendered peripheral.
This has not however been argued sufficiently. Therefore, QM is mainly a enforcer of an ad hoc chosen aspect of nature and not so spherical in motivation.
I did not quite get the question you are specifically seeking an answer to, so my apologies if my answer was true but irrelevant! Maxwell's theory, as has been applied to EM (for example), is at the limit of QED (Quantum Electrodynamics) and has not been able to explain the "particle" aspect of electro magnetism - e.g. photon-photon interactions or photon-material interactions/collisions, among many other phenomena. I am not certain about your reference to Lorentzian Mechanics, Gravitational (wave) theory, and Thermodynamics...

Whai I mean is that quantum. Mechanics was developped to preserve Maxwell theory to the atom. Was this an exageration i.e what about other theories that have not been so strictly pushed to be preserved on the atom system and change atoms physics to be compatible with them?
I am not sure your assumption is correct. I think quantum physics just acknowledges that Maxwell's equations deal with charge densities only. When the scale becomes very small, then you cannot do anything with the derivatives in it: we have one charge, and it is either here or there, so there is no continuity any more, and so that system of equations does not work anymore. That is where the Planck-Einstein relation kicks in, and where one also has to think about a possible structure of these 'pointlike' elementary particles. . It is a bit elementary, but so my 'formula' to understand 'everything' - without 'contradictions' or 'limits' is this: "Physics = Maxwell's equations (scale large enough for the concept of charge densities to make sense) + Planck-Einstein relation (smallest of scales)".
Quantum mechanics does not invalidate Maxwell's electromagnetic theory. What it does do is add a further condition to it. The difficulty now is because QM has been fixated on the epistemic Copenhagen Interpretation, technically quantum mechanics is not really a theory at all, but is rather, in most hands, a recipe for carrying out calculations.
My guidance wave theory, which is a variation on the pilot wave but with two additions, one from Euler's complex number theory and the second to correct the obvious error in the Born rule. (A particle going from A to B under Newton's first law, i.e. no accelerating forces has the phase velocity of the wave half the velocity of the particle. Since ψ and the particle are never in the same place after the initial start, ψ.ψ* cannot give the probability of finding the particle,) The electron does not spiral into the nucleus because the guidance wave cannot lose energy, and the particle cannot change its state without a corresponding change in the wave.
