i am interested in knowing which kind of energy is used to which extend and in which areas of the country

but it would be interesting to know in which areas (rural or city) which kind of energy is used primarely.

How about asking members of the evaluation panel at the World Bank for the Georgia energy projects (http://www.worldbank.org/en/country/georgia/projects). I'd assume that the application for such projects, must be quite insightful regarding your question.
There is scarcity of data on the subject matter. I would subject you pick a state capital or any rapidly urbanizing city in Malta, them conduct a survey by picking your sample size that would be targeted on Domestic Energy Supply
