In the 1990s, the focus was accorded to remove natural organic matter through adding aluminum salts. Now in the 2010s, the attention is shifted to adding natural organic matter to water for metals removal. The problem here is that there is no care about the remaining organic matter in water. There are questions about the disinfection by-products (DBPs) formation. Nowadays, Researchers are generally following some “trends” or “fashions” to publish quickly papers without knowing where we are going in terms of water quality.
We have hard issues with organic matter (natural and artificial) presence in potable water, raw water (surface water), and wastewater. Adding Moringa Oleifera Lam with its additional organic matter will increase the organic matter presence.
