The citations is one of the factors used to estimate impact factor of a journal. Many recent journals can be accessed online. Many journals still have protection against free access. It may be obstacle for many researchers to access a journal article. Do you think researchers are citing relatively more papers from those journals which have easy accessibility?

I agree with you, Dr. Elaiess. The problem is with the publication fee. Researchers are already spending a lot of hours to prepare a research article and many of those hours are unpaid. They should not be further penalized for publishing a paper with the aim of quick turn around time and greater visibility of their work.
Open access facility has not altered the impact factor of scientific journals in the recent years.It has made literature survey easy.
