Inter coder reliability depends on two separate coders , coding the same data on the basis of certain coding rules.
During this process there is reassessment of coding matrix on the basis of analysis from both the coders in context of the research questions.
So, can we say the two coders are also validating the code matrix/code book which is developed in light of the research questions, therefore, investigator triangulation?

Manisha - this appears correct. Independant analysis supports investigator triangulation. I assume that you are referring to the qualitative phase here? If so - has a similar process occurred within the quantitative phase?

Yes, my question is in context of the qualitative phase of my study. In case of the quantitative phase, there were experts who validated the research instrument . I am not sure whether the investigator triangulation is applicable to the quantitative phase but for the qualitative phase since two coders were involved , and an in depth analysis of the code-book was conducted , it seems that the term investigator triangulation makes logic.
Inter-rater reliability refers to extent to which coders agree on their assignment of the same text segments to the same codes. if you cannot get agreement at this level, then it means that analysts do not even view the basic content of the data in similar ways.
In contrast, triangulation usually asks whether independent analysts would produce the same results when examining a data set. This is a broader question.
