Canabinoid is a constituent present in Cannabis plant. No doubt, Canabinoid has anti inflammatory effect. It has a potential use in even for HIV induced cytokine damage. Remember that Cannabis is a narcotic drug. Therefore, better to look for other plant based drugs which may have potential effect on cytokine storm in Covid 19 infection.
According to WikiPhyto Cannabis has some positive effect on the Broncho- dilatation and can be used to relieve the symptoms of asthma. So it is also conceivable to be of some help to relieve the symptoms of Covid-19 (breathing difficulty for example).
We don't have enough scientífic evidence to afirm that cannabis could be useful in Covid-19.

COVID-19 is a complex disease that may be considered to have phases. In certain phases anti-inflammatory agents may be beneficial and in others they may be harmful. For example steroids clearly benefit those with severe COVID-19 (i.e. if oxygen is required). However steroids may worsen outcomes in those who do not require oxygen.
Cannabis smoking can damage lungs and may increase the severity of COVID-19.
However, in select cases medical cannabis derivatives may be beneficial in the acute inflammatory phase of COVID-19.
