At the wound site an electromagnetic field is produced which leads to a dramatic proliferation of immune factors and cells that contribute in the healing process. Is it possible to amplify this field by an external electromagnetic field to heal the wounds faster?

There are studies about improving wound healing using EM field as well as adverse effects of it but no standard protocol to follow and what would be the minimum amount of EM field to be given.
If the field strength is to high you results in photo-chemical problem, photo ablation, photo-disruption and so on.
More importantly there is no scientific evidence that how EM helps in wound healing.
Scientific evidence in the field, electric fields directly influence the cells involved in recovery / inflammation processes
Frequency and amplitude it is important to adjust them since according to the target tissue

Directed cell migration and adhesion is essential to embryonic development, tissue formation and wound healing. It's been reported that electric field (EF), magnetic field (MF) and electromagnetic field (EMF) can play important roles in determining cell differentiation, migration, adhesion, and evenwound healing. Combinations of these techniques have revealed new and exciting explanations for how to move cells and adhere to surfaces; how the migration of multiple cells are coordinated and regulated; how cellsinteract with neighboring cells, and also to changes in their microenvironment. In some cells, speed and direction are voltage dependent. Data suggests that the use of EF, MF and EMF could advance techniques in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and wound healing.
