It is interesting to find that the peak intensities of W4f and S 2p increase whereas the peak shape remain almost the same after hydrogenation. Could anyone know why?
By the way, we have also found sulfate and sulfite at ~168 eV. Its really absurd.

Intensity of W 4f spectra can also effect by experimental condition. Such as Z height and scan parameters.
Q 1 Are both spectra taken with similar XPS conditions?)
Q 2 Did you observe reduction in oxygen or contamination after hydrogenation?? Which means that signals coming directly from films by removing the surface contamination.I am assuming that you are removing some sulfur oxide from surface.
Q 3 What is the thickness of your sample?
