It measures 5 dimensions, three of which relate to coping - Avoidance, Suppression and Controllability ( used to be called unregulated and refers to how much control the person has over his/her emotions). There are two journal articles on the EPS and it is due to be published by the test publisher Hogrefe in March, but I could give you information/details in the interim. There is a large sample of people with alcohol abuse in the norms as well as several healthy samples. EPS scores are highly elevated in both alcohol abuse and PTSD
