Within a PhD-thesis I found a protocol which describes the preparation of electrocompetent A. tumefaciens cells using Hepes-Buffer. Unfortunately there is no literature cited and so far my efforts to google the reference were not successful. Does anybody knows a quotable reference for that method?

I have used the general protocol for E. coli with E. amylovora, and it worked well. I think that you can use it with A. tumefaciens without problems.
