TZBr has other uses, such as the detection of antibiotic resistance. You must use TZCl for seed viability testing :)

The set of Tetrazolium salts is overall useful in histochemistry, cell biology, biochemistry and biotechnology. TZCl is more appropriate for seed viability testing whereas TZBr is often used in assessing cytotoxicity and cell growth or proliferation. What is the advantage of using TZ bromide instead on TZCl? On the basis of my knowledge, TZCl is better than TZ bromide.
