This is specifically in regards to fire instructors - those that undergo heat exposure numerous times per week. I am not aware of any in the UK but hopefully there may be some work completed elsewhere in the world.

Fire departments and training academies should have a written respiratory protection program and ensure that self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBAs) facepieces are properly inspected, used, and maintained.

Thank you Maddali. I will have a look at these further. The problem is that they tend to focus on the fire fighters and not the repetition of severe heat exposure, which occurs in the fire instructors only.
