Spain is the European champion of the afforestation programmes. There were some intensive efforts in the latest decades.Regarding the degree of preparedness for the future climate change scenarios, I guess no European country took any solid measures to adjust the species composition to the new climatic trends. And it is really hard to implement this kind of actions in a short period of time.
