I’m aware of their commercialisation for security/anti-counterfeiting but are there any other established industrial uses of upconverter/anti-Stokes materials? There has been much work on frequency modulation in optics as well as biomedical use, but have any applications genuinely become established commercially rather than remained of potential use with academic status? If so, what upconverters are used? Thanks in advance for any help.
