Many gifted people fail academically. Mental blocks are the main cause. As a teacher and because I have this profile I understand empirically what happens to gifted students. However, I'm not a psychologist and I need a theoretical framework for understanding better and can help to these students. Consequently, I need some guidance from experts in education for gifted people. Also, I want to help to my two daughters who are gifted too. I believe that the main problem of gifted people is that their mental flow is chaotic, disordered and full of information. It's like a flood of ideas that sometimes makes it difficult for them to do simple tasks. The gifted find it very difficult to organize ideas, to express themselves in a simple way. That's a serious difficulty in the academic world. I've tried to help them using activities that requires intense concentration, but it doesn't seem to be enough. Particularly, I didn't have this problem because I've been doing yoga and meditation since I was 12, but not everybody likes it. My question is very simple: Does anybody know of any simple exercise that helps to channel mental speed, to order the flux of ideas, to concentrate the mind and overcome mental blocks?. Thank you
