I am trying to couple a battery block from Simscape with an average value inverter to get an AC current to power my motor, etc. However whenever I try this I run into the following error:

Hey Saif. Did you solve your problem? I have the same problem and I did implement a resistor but it dose not work!! (same error for rectifier)
Hi, adding a resistor did work I guess but it did not give me expected results, so I simply stepped down the voltage using a gain block.

If you can provide a screen shot of the model, it will be of help, because the error you are getting is related to division by zero.
For such errors it becomes tricky to solve the problem. One way is to analyze the system equations (if you know them), and find out the zero division. If you are a person like me who hates math, the other way is to check which parameter or variable is set or initialized to zero. if you have any, then initialize that parameter/variable with some non zero initial value. This should solve this problem.
