I have data for which differential gene expression was found. Now I am interested in finding SNPs only in the genes which are differentially expressed (gene name is known).
Could someone suggest me how to predict SNPs for the specific gene alone?
LOL, with 7 billion humans, any nucleotide in the human genome is statistically differentially expressed in some humans. This is probably similar for any other genome.
I suggest, you review when an SNP is accepted to be a true SNP. Then you may be able to make any conclusions in respect to your gene of interest. If working in human, have a look at the 100000 genomes project at Haward.
