if I have well understood the question, most unsaturated polyester resins are dissolved in styrene, few of them are dissolved in acrylic monomers. This are used in the production of small boats, by different processes such hand-lay-up. Regards
alkyd resins are polyester resins (saturated), so you are looking to produce a blend between satured and unsaturated polyecter resins. If this is correct, I am almost sure you will not find it, since obviously there is no need to use a styrene instead of an ordinary BTEX solvent (from economic and environmental point of view). Also what is the of styrene in a satured alkyd resin, if it is for simple dilution it is useless and for too much expense. Instead of that you can dry an alkyd resin and dissolved in styrene and an unsaturated polyester resin. Regards
