There is an instrument called the focal electrophysiologram. You can use it to measure the eye of any part, any range of retinal electrophysiological responses.

In addition to Dr. Cideciyan’s excellent suggestion, I’d recommend reviewing work from Miyake’s group. For example: Miyake Y. Focal macular electroretinography. Nagoya J Med Sci. 1998 Oct;61(3-4):79-84. PMID: 9879190. His book “Electrodiagnosis of Retinal Diseases” also contains a review of focal ERG with several useful references.
