I am conducting some qualitative research regarding teachers' perceptions of parental involvement where a lot of anxiety is surfacing from teachers regarding what they see as parental negative involvement. I found very little in the literature on the topic and I was wondering if anyone encountered interesting works on the topic

I am wondering whether the negativity reflects the parental problems; the following papers discuss material deprivation and link it with negativity, or also, negative parental school experiences from their youth.
This document has an interesting paragraph on p.11: 'Previous experience of school' where, among other things, the parent's own negative school experiences are discussed:

This review discusses - among other things - material deprivation (p.17, para 2.11.4 and 6). This references Sacker et al. 2002, another Science Direct paper, which discussed material deprivation. Further in the Desforges & Abouchaar review, p.41, para 6.1, suggests single parent status as being relevant, and again. material deprivation and socio-economic status (SES). In their discussion of SES they reference:
