I have been doing some research into strongly coupled quantum dot systems, where I link individual quantum dots with molecular bridges, while maintaining strong electronic coupling. This shifts the absorption maximum to higher wavelengths and opens up a possibility of creating hybrid quantum-dot polymer systems.
I would like to hear some of your thoughts/impressions/experiences with these systems. There is not much about them in the literature, but it seems to me that these strongly coupled quantum dot polymer systems could have some exciting properties: maybe in solar cells, quantum electronics, sensors, displays.
