Have you used Microwave office software for designing antenna? It is a very easy to use software.
Microwave office AWR is much more better if you are designing some component diagrams but with respect to measurement of components HFSS is best, You can find many tutorials but all has some certain values. In simple HFSS is a conceptual software in which you make things with your own concepts and measurements.
I must designing with HFSS for my college and i'm Beginner in this.

It's very easy, can download the HFSS full book and simulate any exemples 'tuttorial',
after you can simulate any component full EM 3D.
