I would need a fast and as accurate as possible astaxanthin determination during Haematococcus pluvialis growth on everyday lab activity as I have no experience on HPLC.
Thank you very much for your kind answer. Actually I read the paper you mentioned but I finally mixed different methodologies. The extraction was with DMSO and acetone but spec readings were between 471 and 477 nm. Max absorbance was taken to calculate astaxanthin concentration. I'm just waiting to confirm these data with HPLC analysis.
