I'm searching a good control stimulus for an fMRI task.
I want to compare words with "something", this something should be the closest possible stimulus to words, meaning that it should be made of character, but that are completely unknown to the subject. Moreover, it would be good if the relationship between the false characters and the real ones is one-to-one, meaning for example that for the word "ball" I would like to construct a stimulus with a scrambled or rearranged version of the letters "b" "a" "l" "l".
Any suggestion ?
Federica, I thought about it, but some Greek characters look a little bit too much as Latin ones, and some of the subjects may know Greek, making this a confound.

how about the font "pseudo saudi". it looks like nastaliq but actually it's western letters scrambled.
