We are working on a dataset of butterflies in a farmland in Poland. Despite of some efforts we were not able to find a complete list of species (available online) with their ecological/functional attributes which could be useful for Poland (Central Europe). I know that it has been published in a book "Schmetterlinge: Die Tagfalter Deutschlands" and it could be useful for us. Is there any other publication available online, which includes the information we are looking for?

I'm not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for; I can think of two sources.
The first is a publcation by Balletto & Kudrna (1985), which can be downloaded here: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/291817015_Some_aspects_of_the_conservation_of_butterflies_in_Italy_with_recommendations_for_a_future_strategy
This publication contains a table on ecological preferences of the Italian butterflies.
The second source is an Excel table published by the Swizz Centre for the mapping of fauna (http://www.cscf.ch/cscf/de/home/wissenschaftliche-aktivitaten/fauna-indicativa.html). This table also contains ecological preferences. etc.

thanks a lot for the sources. The Excel files seem to be useful very much. The Italian paper, too, considering biogeographic differences within given species.

By the way - is there in the book a table of species with their functional attributes or that information is scattered and given separately for individual species?
