I need some data to recalculate parameters of the thermal patterns of the exposed cortex from the results of IR thermal mapping when tumors are being removed from the human brain. My thermal viewer is Thermo Tracer TH-9100 (NEC), spectral range 8-14 micrometers.
Unfortunately I have never seen articles or that the emissivity tables have values for the reported cases.
There are doctoral studies that have attempted to observe mammary cancer in a precocious manner and have used the emissivity of human body skin around 0.98. As they could not get the temperature readings to match those read through other techniques, they came to think differently.
Starting from the principle that a thermogram of the human body is symmetric in the matter of temperature, they began to perform relative analysis of thermograms temperatures, comparing one side of the body with the other, concluding that the problem exists where there is a greater thermal differential.
