Engineering Economics is very useful for evaluating new projects in several engineering situations. but it is very difficult to find out some proper examples for new software systems developments.

I have read the documnents related to Boehm. but those are not up-to-date.so it is very difficult to evaluate the SW economics for the current it projects.
