I am hoping to purchase the human blood B booster kit from Dendritics (Lyon, France) for B cell immortalization, and I am wondering if anyone has experience working with this kit in terms of efficiency, antibody production levels, longevity of immortalized B cells, etc?

I used to repeat the B cells stimulation procedure as reference 5 described. But the problem was that feeder cells wouldn't survive such a long time. so I had to change feeder cells, it was very exausting. I faild to observed EBV can help in this procee as tested by IgG level in the supernant on day 14.
human blood B booster kit is based on the same protocol. It seems some modificaiton have been made.

We have a long experience with the booster kit. We have realized 4 different fusions on HIV patients. The booster kit works very well and is easy to manipulate. The efficiency of the fusion is high compare to classical methods. L cells are no longer here feeders (unlike irradiated cells that multiply more but can secrete cytokines) but stimulator cells (inert non-viable cells) where the conformation of CD40L transfected or FcgR is crucial for the activation efficiency.Dendritics have made many steps before selection to include the cell that goes in the kit. To conclude, i highy recommand this kit to make fusion. We have identified new HIV-specific IgG and we are looking for IgA.
