I have a few S. aureus isolates expressing erythromycin and clindamycin resistance, but without presence of most common resistance genes (erm A,B,C and msrA gene). Has somebody experience with different gene conferring erytromycin/clindamycin resistance or with another mechanism of resistance (e.g. hypermutation)?

Thanks
